Week 14 Student: Dallas Lattin
Senior at Sonora High School
My student deserves High School Student Athlete of the Week because Dallas is an exceptional, hardworking, and highly deserving young man. He is a straight-A student who plans to attend Cal Poly Pomona in the fall to pursue civil engineering. He approaches everything he commits to with focus and determination, and he consistently follows through until he reaches his goals. As a starting defensive end for the Sonora High Wildcats, he helped contribute to an outstanding team effort that resulted in two back-to-back state championships. Beyond athletics, Dallas is an active member of leadership and student body, and he is always willing to step up and help wherever he is needed. I am incredibly proud of the person he has become, and I truly admire the character, heart, and dedication he shows every day.

Week 13 Student:Thomas McQuinn
Senior at Summerville High School
My student deserves KKBN’s High School Student of the Week because…he is an amazing student athlete. He just finished up wrestling, making it all the way to Masters. He has now moved on to track and field where he is on the varsity 4X100 relay, pole vaults, and 400. He is also still doing off season wrestling to prepare for Reno Worlds (the largest wrestling tournament). He has a great attitude, and his coach’s often use him as an example for younger athletes. We are beyond proud!

Week 12 Student: Jesse Morrison
Senior at Sonora High School
My student deserves KKBN’s High School Student Athlete of the Week because he played baseball every single year since T-ball, but decided to take this season off to focus on trap shooting and welding and he’s absolutely crushing both. In trap, he completely dominated at Angels Camp this season, taking home first place with a crazy good score of 98/100. On top of that, he’s just as good in the shop, locking down fourth place at the Columbia College welding competition. Jesse has an awesome work ethic, and whether he’s shooting a near-perfect score or mastering a trade, he always gives it 100%. I am so proud of him and can’t wait to see what he does in his future.

Week 11 Student:Payton Albanese
Sophomore, Bret Harte High School
As a sophomore Payton participates in both Varsity Basketball and Softball, in the fall she is typically on the sideline doing STATS for Bret Harte football. She participates in FFA and will be taking her Goat to Calaveras County Fair all while keeping up her grades and supporting AMA youth Softball and refing for AMA flag flag football.

Week 10 Student: Dixie Nessl
Senior, Sonora High School
My friend deserves KKBN’s High School Student Athlete of the Week because… She is one of the most driven people I know. From volleyball practice’s in Ripon for her club team, to shuffling swim practice and training for altitude. She push’s herself beyond limits all while maintaining good grades and college classes. She leaves this summer to play D1 volleyball for University of Arlington in Texas which just goes to show how hard she works. She is always there for her friends and family and is the bestest friend a girl could ask for!

Week 9 Student: Reghan Miller
Senior, Summerville Union High School
My student deserves KKBN’s High School Student of the Week because she’s a standout student at Summerville High School. Reghan has competed all four years in basketball, swim, and cheer, and two years of the new sport stunt, all while maintaining honor roll and taking duel enrollment college classes at Columbia College. She’s also active in FFA, raising a lamb and turkey for the Mother Lode Fair. Her dedication, hard work, and ability to balance athletics, academics, and community activities make her an inspiration to her peers and our entire community.

Week 8 Student: Ayden Riley
Sophomore, Sonora Union High School
My student deserves KKBN’s High School Student of the Week because… Ayden gives his all in every sport he participates in and carries that same dedication into the classroom. He consistently works hard to maintain his academics, showing responsibility and a strong commitment to doing his best. He arrives early to practice, puts in full effort, and demonstrates respectful behavior both on and off the field. Ayden is a great example to his teammates and peers through his positive attitude, work ethic, and sportsmanship. We are incredibly proud of the young man he is becoming and all that he continues to accomplish.

Week 7 Student: Elizabeth Londono
Junior, Summerville Union High School
Elizabeth is a dedicated and hardworking student-athlete who truly embodies what it means to excel both on and off the field. She maintains an impressive 4.0 GPA while balancing a demanding schedule as a cheerleader, a member of the STUNT team, and a year-round competitive dancer and dance teacher at High Voltage Dance Academy.
Despite her busy schedule, Elizabeth always makes time for the people who matter most to her—her friends, family, and boyfriend. She leads with kindness, humility, and positivity, and is known for having a genuinely kind soul and a huge heart.
Elizabeth’s commitment, work ethic, and uplifting spirit make her not only an outstanding athlete, but also a role model to those around her. She represents what it means to pursue excellence with grace, dedication, and compassion.

Week 6 Student: Eli Ingalls
Senior, Sonora High School
My student deserves KKBN’s High School Student Athlete of the Week because… He is a great young man with the biggest heart in the world. He is always helping anyone in need of help. He loves basketball and football. For the last two years, he was the quarterback that helped bring home the state championship title to Sonora High School. Along with his teammates and friends, as they all play together as one. He is also an AG student that will be taking a Pig to the fair this year, which is a lot of work. He works after school every day and he’s always there for his family and friends.

Week 5 Student: Marcus Kelly
Sophomore, Bret Harte High School
Marcus deserves KKBN’s High School Student of the Week because he is a Varsity Football Player, Varsity Soccer player and Varsity Tennis player at his high school as well playing year around travel soccer. He keeps his grades above a 4.0 and keeps reaching for future goals. He is a hard working young man. We are so proud of him.

Week 4 Student: Sam Alderman
Senior, Sonora Union High School
Sam deserves Athlete of the Week for his outstanding dedication and leadership as a senior at Sonora High School. A three-sport athlete, Sam has competed in football, basketball, and track & field all four years, demonstrating incredible commitment and work ethic.
On the football field, he helped lead his team to two state championships and earned top honors as both the TVL Offensive Lineman and TVL Defensive Lineman 1st Team. As a team captain, Sam leads by example with toughness, discipline, and heart. His success across multiple sports and his leadership on and off the field make him a clear choice for Athlete of the Week. Sam will be attending UC Davis in the fall and joining their football program as an offensive lineman.

My daughter Janessa deserves the KKBN’s student athlete of the week award because she excels in varsity volleyball and multiple track and field events all while maintaining a 4.4 GPA! She’s an amazing human, and I thank God every day that I get to be her Dad!
