Here I am on the steps of the Capitol building in Jackson, Mississippi telling true stories.
The people here at the Capitol are so friendly that when I opened the door to peek inside, the security guard smiled and asked if I was visiting and allowed me to come in.
I explored all four floors and every person I saw had a warm, friendly greeting and made me feel as though I was a part of the family. There was no government “coldness” or rudeness from anyone. The building itself is steeped in history, marble and granite. Pictures don’t do justice to what you actually see, hear and experience. It was worth my time stopping here and I almost hated leaving such a place of both history and welcomeness.
