My favorite time of year is being able to go to work with my dad every weekend during the winter season. On the way to work we joke around about what our day will bring and the possible snow storms that could happen. On our way home we share our good and bad stories about what happened throughout the day. My dad is my favorite snowboard buddy and I enjoy every moment of experiencing new trials together on the mountain. My dad has hyped me up to do any trick or jump on my snowboard, he’s given me the confidence to succeed.
If my dad is not snowboarding he’s probably skateboarding. Even though he shattered his heal skateboarding in May 2024, he jumped back on his skateboard as soon as he could. Showing me that it’s had to overcome things but it’s definitely possible. My dad still hasn’t stopped skateboarding even when people tell him he’s getting too old for it.
My dad is one of my best friends and has shown me that laughter is the key to happiness. No matter what a little joke will cheer me up and my dad is certainly one of the funniest people I know.
Yet when he is not snowboarding or skateboarding he’s working construction for fairway construction five days a week, and still makes time to come home and hangout with his family.
