Jack Anderson

For decades, he’s been a dedicated electrician—one of those rare folks who doesn’t just fix the problem but teaches you how to do it yourself. He’s empowered countless homeowners by giving them both a beautiful finished project and the confidence to tackle the next one on their own. He’s the kind of man who gives and gives, never asking for much in return. In fact, he’s usually at your door to lend a hand before you even think to ask—that’s just how thoughtful he is.
He was raised in Calaveras County in a multi-generational family and spent his youth traipsing across every peak and valley, hunting, fishing, and hiking. He excelled in every sport he played, which ultimately led to his induction into the Bret Harte Hall of Fame in 2025. After graduation, he had his first two children, my older sisters, while serving in the Army. Following his service, he worked in a coal mine in Colorado, where he survived the 1981 mid continent coke and coal mine explosion that tragically killed 15 of his friends and crew members. He later moved back to Calaveras, married my mother, and had my brother, sister, and I. Growing up, he was always heavily involved in our extracurricular’s—often coaching our teams and making sure we grew up with the same respect for the beautiful mountains that raised him. These days, every step takes more effort as he lives with muscular dystrophy, but he refuses to let it slow him down. Seven days a week, you’ll still find him on the job-site—sometimes even crawling to get the work done when his feet no longer carry him. And when he’s not working, he’s the most devoted “Grampy” to his 13 grandchildren, lighting up their lives with the same tireless energy. To his five kids and all of us who love him, he’s nothing short of Superman—a man who reminds us that even in the face of challenges, there’s still so much joy and beauty to be found… even in a perfectly placed electrical panel.
