Gilbert Hammerbeck
I want to nominate my husband Gilbert Hammerbeck for Hard Working Man of the week because he is the hardest working man I know, Gilbert has the strongest work ethic of anyone I have ever known. He gives 100% to his job as the Maintenance, Operations and Transportation Director at Summerville High School and takes his position seriously. He often spends hours on the phone working in his “off time” and drops everything when called upon. He is on call 7 days a week and ensures that the safety of the staff and students comes before all else.
Even open heart surgery could not keep Gilbert from working last year, he insisted on being involved in operations throughout his recovery.
Gilbert is the proud father of 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren.(which he adores!) and always finds time to help his family and friends out. I think Gilbert is the epitome of a “Hard working man” and deserves recognition for his efforts.
