Corona’s Cruise Across America: It Begins In Marco Island, FL

Welcome to Marco Island, Florida where I spent my Labor Day weekend.

Marco Island is as far southwest as you can possibly drive on the mainland south of both Naples and Ft Meyers, FL.

My mom lives here and was once neighbors with Shania Twain. Due to circumstances several years ago, none of which had to due with my mom, Twain sold her island home and moved away.

I’ve spent this weekend relaxing near the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, enjoying the bountiful liquid sun and am now ready to drive back to California.

The journey will be around 3,000 miles, which I plan to make in five days, driving about 600 miles each day.

I’ve never been to a couple of the states that I plan on driving through and have no idea what I may see or encounter.

But I will show you highlights or least what I think are “points of interest” along the way.

So let’s go.
