Hard Working Man 04.31.26

Josh works full-time for the City of Dixon in pool maintenance and management, and he takes so much pride in his work. He keeps the pools looking pristine and is constantly getting great feedback because he truly cares about doing a good job. He starts his days early, working from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and after a full day he still comes home ready to be a dad and a husband.

On top of his city job, he also owns and runs his own business, Solo Pool Service. He started it about five years ago and has grown it to around 60 customers and counting. His business has grown so much that he even has an employee helping him now. Watching him build something like that from the ground up has been so inspiring to me.

Even with all of that, he still works hard at home too. We live on a small farm in Dixon, California with 10 goats, around 30 chickens, and our dogs and cats. Josh built our chicken coop by hand, built the goat pens, maintains everything on our property, and is always fixing or building something to make our home better. Every winter he spends weekends cutting and stacking wood to keep our home warm.

What amazes me the most is that no matter how hard he works, he still makes time for our family. He comes home for dinner, helps with our daughter, and shows up every day as an incredible husband and father. He truly goes above and beyond for us, whether that’s working long hours, building things for our home, or doing whatever he can to make sure our family is taken care of.

Josh is the love of my life and my best friend. I thank God every day for bringing him into my life. I can’t wait to keep making more memories with him and growing our family together.

His birthday is March 28, and it would mean the world for him to receive this recognition because he absolutely deserves it. In my eyes and in our family’s eyes, he will always be the hardest working man.
