“After the untimely passing of her husband Howard Wesely, Merinna decided to honor his legacy and take ownership of Calaveras Coins. Despite being a full time E.R. Nurse in Modesto she could not let the memory of her husbands dream fade nor let down the wonderful folks of the motherlode that have faithfully patroned the coin shop that has been a staple of the historic section of Angels Camp for the last 17 years. With surgical like precision Merinna and great passion she divides her time between her spiritual, family life and profession. Merinna is nothing short of a Superwomen. Nothing seems impossible in her capable hands. Besides being an industrious, smart and talented accountant she is a loving mother, grandmother and beloved friend. All the staff at Calaveras Coins want her to know that her amazing leadership have not gone unnoticed. Never asking for special treatment but so deserving of it, would we love to nominate Merinna May-Wesely as Goodie of the Week, Month and Year. Stealing a famous line from her dear husband we wish her: “Every Blessing!”
