Is Halloween For Kids Only?

IT’S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN (8p ET, ABC) — In this holiday favorite, Linus waits in the pumpkin patch for the elusive Halloween symbol to appear. A bonus cartoon, You’re Not Elected, Charlie Brown, follows.  This is on TONIGHT!!

I must admit, this movie made me give rocks to some trick or treaters a few years back.  Not all but some older kids and young adults that come knocking on the door saying “Trick or Treat are out for a mischievous good time!  How do I know this?  Because I was one of those kids!   They get away with a lot of the younger kids candy and then run off and TP you or your neighbors yard.    Let’s remember who trick or treating  is for this year.   The young kids who still believe in magic and scary things under the bed.  Of course Halloween is for everybody, but as we get older we all find different ways to celebrate with parties, haunted houses and bobbing for whatever you like to bob for.  So leave the trick or treating for candy to the little ones this year and tonight enjoy IT’S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN as a family.   As for Me?  I’ll be at Wal-Mart buying toilet paper.

Take a Nap Tuesday

Okay, I for one, am a big fan of naps.  It could be the hours I keep or I could just be a man baby.  Nevertheless, I support nap time for all Americans!  I wake up at 3:45-4:00am every weekday morning.  I’m on the air til 10am and usually work til Noon or 1:00 most days.  So, by 2:00 or 3:00 in the afternoon, I’m winding down from my day, having lunch and watching People’s Court and Judge Alex.   Sleepy time kicks in soon thereafter. When I was 5 years old,  I fought and cried with Mom, because I didn’t want to take a nap!  Today, I’m cranky when I don’t get to take one!  Life’s funny that way I suppose.  So I hope by you reading this, you’re getting sleepy and now…you’re ready for nap.
