KKBN Pet of The Week(01.20.15)

His name is Jake, an 8 year old yellow lab, that has been through quite a bit in the last few months.  He turned 8 on May 1st and on the following Saturday we noticed that he wasn’t quite right.  Researching we discovered that he was paralyzed from the neck down.  Not sure what to do with him we took him to our local vet who indicated that there was nothing they could do for him but gave us a contact number for a wonderful vet in Stockton.  Making the trek to Stockton and a week later, surgery was performed on two damaged vertebrae near his skull.  Through dedicated daily exercises and about 4 weeks later, he was up and walking on his own.  Today he is back to his normal self.  A fun loving, energetic 8 year whom we dearly love.  He is a very important part of our family.

We would like to nominate our furbaby, Moshi (MoMo). She is a two year old polydactyl princess!she has a total of 24 claws! Moshi loves playing with foil balls and bubbles, watching the fish in our Koi pond, and getting dressed up. Moshi is our first cat we got together, so she is extremely spoiled. She falls asleep between us every single night.
