Hi!
I would like to nominate my honey for the hard working man contest. We recently moved to West Point and he has always lived in the city but he goes way above and beyond to make a happy home for us here. Since we have been together he has taken my son in like he is his own and he does the same with all the kids in his family. Besides being a great man he works hard at everything he does. On top of his regular job he has put in new septic at or house laid tile in our kitchen and still finds time to go to sacramento to be written his family. I think Luis would be a great candidate for you’re hard working man contest because he us one! Thanks so much. Here are some photos of him working.

Congratulations to this week’s KKBN Hard Working Man Winner!! Isaac Rushdoony

I would like to nominate a very special man as the next hard working man of the Motherlode. He is my nephew Isaac Rushdoony.

Isaac Rushdoony is not only an exceptional person but a hard working, multitasking man.  He risks his life for all of us in the Motherlode as a captain at the Valley Springs state fire station and has worked at many other fire stations in the area. He is raising three children with another due in a few weeks; he helps his extended family, is restoring his great grandfather’s car, and cares for his pomegranate orchards. In his spare time Isaac is remodeling the Vallecito home his grandfather once lived in. He has redone the inside, the back yard, and has built a gazebo and bar area where he entertains friends and the extended family.  If a tree falls on the property Isaac builds something. Isaac still manages to host large family get togethers and spend quality time with his family. He has even undertaken helping a teenage cousin. Isaac is someone who is constantly working and improving life for his family and those around him.

I am very proud of Isaac, his generosity, his faithfulness to our family traditions and his work as a fireman. Isaac an asset to not only his family but his community, the Motherlode, the state of California and his country. He is the kind of man who is a blessing now and gives me hope for the future.  To me he is the definition of a Hard Working Man.

KKBN Hard Working Man (12.25.13)

Hello!

I’d like to nominate my husband, Karl Waite, for the hard working man of the week. Karl works as firefighter (engineer) for Cal Fire, at our local Mono Village station 51 firehouse.

Karl is incredibly passionate about his job. He loves serving the community, teaching fire classes, and working with young volunteers who aspire to work in the fire service. Lately, Karl has been working extra hard, as it is not only fire season, but he’s also helping take care of his father, Fire Captain Paul Waite, who is battling terminal cancer. Karl is the kindest, most genuine person I’ve ever known, and his love for his family is fierce and unconditional. I am the luckiest woman in the world to have married Karl. I’d love to see him be the KKBN working man of the week to celebrate all his hard work.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Kelsea Waite

I would like to nominate my future husband, Brandon Osanna, for being the hardest working man I know. Brandon is a firefighter with the US Forest Service. He has been a firefighter for going on 8 years now. Not only does he sometimes leave for weeks at a time, sleeps outside, endures extreme heat and unstable weather conditions, doesn’t always get a shower, but when he comes home he is constantly working around the house by mowing and weed eating, chopping wood and attempting to make dinner once in awhile;).
Brandon never ceases to amaze me with his passion and dedication to his job and his home life. It is a very dangerous field and it takes a very strong person chose this as their career. To Brandon it is more than just a job. It is his life and I could never see him doing anything different. I am proud to be marrying this man and I am beyond thankful for everything he does.
