I am nominating my husband for hard working man because not only is he an amazing husband but an amazing father! He has always provided for us whether it is working or finding side jobs to provide for his family. We are recovering drug addicts. He has 19 years of sobriety and I have 23 months. I had to quit working to go through a drug treatment program and he made sure that we had the income that we needed to maintain a home and food for our family. He has always been a provider. He has stood by my side and supported me with strength and love. Because of him we have never been without. We are a blended family and he has taken pride in all we stand for. We have been together for 11 years and has never hesitated to take care of anything. He deserves this award sincerely he is such an amazing man!!!!!
Hi, I would like to nominate my dad Eric Davis. He is 41 years old and he has four children to look after. They are Rachael, Sidnie, Bret, and Trevor. He also works for the county, and sometimes has to work 16 hour shifts. He just got married to Amber Davis.
My dad is a loving, hard-working, providing man. He has, and always will be a great friend. He provides me, and my three siblings, and wife by, going out to get us wood for our fire place, cooking, making sure we have good grades, and that we have clothes and taking us to our various activities.
My dad gives us the things we need but also does fun stuff with us too. He takes us camping, shooting, to the park to play basketball, and soccer, and to play on the playground. He gets us slurpies, and takes us out to dinner once in a while. He plays Legos with my brothers, Bret and Trevor, even though he may not want to. He plays outside on our trampoline with us, even though it may be freezing.
My dad also works outside, he fixes up all of our cars, my grandmas jet-ski, his boat, and anything that needs to be fixed. He is very handy; I love to help him, especially when something needs a new part.
My dad’s job is very hard. He does shift work. Right now he is working graveyard and sometimes has to work 16 hour shifts. He works through birthdays, holidays, and many other things. We know he does his best to get those things off but with his job it’s difficult.
This is why my dad should be The Hard Working Man of the Week.
Rachael Davis, and family
I am nominating my husband for the hardest working man. My husband was laid off 4 years ago from a local company in the middle of the economic down turn. He spent 2 years working a minimum wage job to keep our family eating. Then had a chance to take his dream job as a county sheriff, but because the salary wouldn’t be enough to send our two boys to school and support our family, he let the his dream go to take a higher paying job in Berkley. So now, he works out of town 6 days a week. He leaves Sunday nights and returns on Friday nights. He works over 40 hours a week, missing his family and regular family activities, his kids sporting events and enjoying his home in the mountains, just for his family to be well taken care of. He is only home a day and a half, and when he is home he is fixing all the things i cannot, like putting in a new fire place, remodeling my master bath so i am comfortable at home when he is away. His fix it list is a mile long, but he is always working to make sure we are safe and well taken of. He works hard for all of us and doesn’t spend much time for himself. I want him to know how much he is appreciated and that we love him and how much of his personal happiness he has sacrificed for his family.
My husband, Ryan, is a hard working man. He works the graveyard shift at Chicken Ranch. When he comes home, he plays with our 1 year old son and 4 month old daughter. He’s always on the go. He never a stops. He’s always helping people. Whether it be stacking and splitting wood or working on a car. He has a heart of gold. He is truly a hard working man along with a family man.
I want to nominate my boyfriend Garrett Jones for hard working man of the month. He has been with the Forest Service for four years straight on crew 41 in Groveland. This past summer he has worked over 800 hours of over time alone out on wild land fires. I have watched him travel From Idaho to Montana back to California for the Rim Fire in our own backyard. From August 19 all the way to November 16 he was out on the Rim fire, first contributing to fighting the flames then spent 6-8 weeks working 12-14 hour shifts doing Rim Fire clean up and Rehab to get out beautiful forest back on track. On top of all the physical labor he managed to summon up more energy to make sure that our home is taken care of. I would come home from work or school to a home made dinner and a clean living room. If that doesn’t sound like one of the hardest working men then I don’t know who does 😉 I hope your consider Garrett Jones for Hard working man of the week!!
