I am proud to call Don my grandfather! About 7 years ago my grandfather was in a horrible car accident. He drove off Old Priest Grade and suffered major injuries and was hospitalized for many months. His stability was questionable, and we didn’t know what the outcome would be. A few long months later, we brought him home and not long after that he returned to the woods to work. His accident left him not able to walk like he use to and now has to use a cane to walk. He is now 80 years old, walks with a cane and still works long hours running his logging company, many mornings he gets up at sun rise and doesn’t stop until the sun goes down. Most people my age couldn’t keep up with this wonderful man. He is amazing and the hardest working man I have ever met. Grandpa you never stop amazing us, thank you for being such a wonderful role model. We all love you so very much! If anyone deserves this award it is you.
Jon is a captain with Cal Fire in The Tuolumne Calaveras Unit, currently stationed out of San Andreas. When not working on the fire engine, he is equally busy working on his ranch, often with his three year old son in toe. Jon spends his days off fencing for his cattle, cutting fire wood, taking care of animals, and balancing the endless projects awaiting his attention. He is a wonderful and patient dad to his three children. His three year old son who’s favorite thing to do is ride on the tractor with dad, is outside working with dad the majority of the time he is home. Jon works seven days a week, rarely making it inside before dark. Watching him strive to be an excellent employee, co-worker, and leader, work tirelessly to have a good home, and be a fun loving amazing dad, makes me proud to be married to the hardest working man I know.
My dad has worked hard his whole life starting from a young age. He does whatever he can to provide a great life for me, my mom, and sisters. He earns everything he has and that inspired me to start working at the young age of 16 and I have held a steady job ever since, now i’m 23. He has taught me that you can do anything you set your mind to and to work hard and you will succeed. Thanks dad for everything, i love you.
My Father Jimmy Ashby has had to work hard his entire life. But I would like to nominate him for a the Hard Working Man Contest for mainly for helping his three children. In 2006 my older sister Kelli Ashby, was in a near fatal head on car collision. She was at Doctors Medical Center Neuro ICU for several weeks in a coma and then was transferred to San Jose for Rehabilitation after she had awoken. My father had to keep the family business, ASHBY CONSTRUCTION, going during this difficult year. My Sister has made a full recovery and since two years ago became a registered nurse in the ICU she was a patient at Doctors Medical Center. She would not be where she is today if it were not for his efforts with rehab and work. Last year Kelli bought a house and my father and I spent our time after work over there fixing the place up for her. As of two Weeks ago My eldest sister Tiffany and her fiance had bought a house and again my father is spending 12 hours days at the house fixing !
it up while my sister is at school and her fiance works.
Jimmy Ashby is the definition and model of a Hard Working Man. He deserves more praise than he receives.
I would like my husband to be recognized for all his hard work. He works for a company called (CSI) Communications Services Incorporated. He works long hours and has little time off. But the time that he does have off is not really time off. He is kept busy by our two kids who are 3 and 4 years old. They love their dad so much that when ever he is home all they want to do is play with dad all day. In my eyes his work is continuous from the job site to home. No matter how tired he gets hes never too tired to take the kids to the park or out for a bike ride. He provides for his family but also knows the importance of spending quality time with us and thats why he is my hard working man.
