KKBN Hard Working Man(11.28.18)

Gary Sawyer

I would like to nominate my step-dad, Gary Sawyer. Gary works so hard not only in his job at Tri-Dam but also every day to help and support our family. He is constantly making improvements on our house, cutting firewood, stacking firewood and tinkering away in the yard and garden; he even washes my mom’s car every weekend, what a gentleman! I am getting married in January and Gary has gone above and beyond with helping me getting ready for the wedding. Not only did he build me an absolutely stunning wedding arch, he goes to my wedding planning meetings with my wedding coordinator, with minimum complaining, and acts as my sound board in making decisions while my fiancé is out of state. Gary is a great dad to his two children and a wonderful step-dad to my brother and I, we couldn’t be happier or luckier to have him in our lives!

Ed Richards is the hardest working man I know. He is a local general contractor and besides the normal work of windows and doors, Ed installs some amazing kitchen and bathroom remodels. Ed works 6 days a week as early as 5am and up to as late as 9pm. This last week Ed gave up his only day off to help Grandmas house in Columbia with some well needed repairs. From making a front door safer, to installing a sub floor, Ed made this nonprofit house brighter and safer. Ed is not only a hardworking man but also an incredible human being. Thank you for your consideration.

Hello This is my Dog Lucky Luccino But we call him Lucc for short. He’s 7 and it’s the cutest dog in the world.  My name is Benjamin Delatorre. I’m a disabled individual and I found lucc in 2016 on my front door step when I got home from work he was 2 lbs and extremely dehydrated and his fur was extremely matted and turns out my neighbors friend abandoned him… also we found out later, he was severally abused and mistreated, but since then I have helped him get over his fear and anxiety and got his weight up, Lucc is my best friend and I can’t be away from him for long and vice versa, at night he sleeps in my arms, it helps with his anxiety and mine as well. To me Lucc is my Dog but also my buddy and my son. The day I found him changed my life in a very good way.

Christopher Garrison

Christopher is a firefighter with the US Forest Service & has been working hard this fire season to fighting the Spring Fire in CO as well as the Ferguson Fire and is currently stationed on the Woolsey Fire in Southern Ca. He spends weeks camping on the front lines, working hard in the heat and the smoke to stop forward progression of the fire and provide structure protection where it’s needed. He comes home covered in soot and grime and he gets 48 hours to catch up on rest and spend time with his family before he is sent out again on a new assignment. I’ve never seen someone work as hard as he does, all with a positive attitude. He loves his job and loves being able to help others during their time of need. Thank you to ALL of our firefighters working hard to stop our lands from burning!
