KKBN Pet Of The Week 8.27.19

Abbie Gabbie Goo

This is my border collie mix rescue, she is 2 years old and my best friend in the whole world. She’s the friendliest little Blondie with tons of spunk and energy.

She’s always with me whether I am hiking, on the lake, or lounging around the house. You can catch her hanging her head and tongue out of the window of my sedan around town with her hair blowing in the wind.

She is just the sweetest girl who loves to make her mamma and others happy. I couldn’t love her anymore than I already do.

To know her is to love her. ❤️

Trevor Barendregt

Trevor gets up every morning with a positive attitude and works really hard to provide us with a comfortable life and does so without any complaints.  He is kind, caring and very compassionate and is always going out of his way to help others.

He will work eight hours or even more sometimes then will come home to help with our small farm till the sun goes down.

He is the most attentive, doting and loving father to our two lil’ children ages 5 and 2. He always makes time for just he and I and I know I can count on him for anything. I couldn’t ask for a better husband and best friend. He is and always will be my forever and ever amen.

KKBN Pet of the Week 08.20.2019

May I introduce Mr. No Mo.

He is a real gift from Heaven. I already had two rescue kitties and another companion cat in my shop. Her name was Stella.

Everyone was trying to give more kittens and cats. I kept telling them “No Mo Cats”! I have been around and loved cats for over eighty years. No Mo showed up one evening, looking for a hand-out. I told him to go home. Next morning and evening, he was here, still looking for something to eat. Told him again to go home. Next morning, I gave in. I told him he must be the “No Mo Cat” I have been talking about. The name stuck.

He spent his days in the shop with Stella and me and was a real blessing for Stella. He would jump into her bed and wash her from Nose to toes. He would also bring her dead mice, birds, lizards etc. She couldn’t eat any of those yummy gifts. I had to wait until no one was looking to ditch the “goodies”. A month later, Stella was diagnosed with cancer.  My Vet and I did all that we could for her, but she lost her battle. No Mo was just devastated, wandering around and meowing for her. We both were suffering from broken hearts. I had Stella for many years. She was almost 19 when she went to the Rainbow Bridge.

I finally started taking No Mo into the house at night. The first night, he walked in, grabbed the special needs rescue kitty and washed him from nose to toes and has kept him neat and clean ever since. This relieved me from one of my daily chores of cleaning up “Stinky”.

I have been truly blessed!

Arron Ochs

I would like to nominate my husband, Arron Ochs.

He was recently promoted as the Veteran’s Services Program Manager for Catholic Charities.  After only six months a s case manager, he successfully housed over 20 homeless veterans in the mother lode area.

His coworkers say, “He is a dedicated team player & has a heart of gold! This makes those that he serves & works with grateful to know him!”

He wakes up early every morning to get the kids to school before work and makes sure to get off in time to get them to every practice and game.

Our twin two-year-old boys idolize him and can’t wait to smother him with love every day. He’s a wonderful cook and puts ‘a cup of love” in every recipe. He’s very witty and the life of any party. He’s dedicated to helping others and has taken a lead role in helping me organize a community walk for suicide prevention and awareness. He is so loved and appreciated.
