Time to annouce this week’s KKBN Goodie Of The Week Award! Congratulations to: STACY HANAN

Here’s the nomination letter,

I would like to nominiate Stacy Hanan for the goodie award. She is a Co-Community Club Leader for the Murphys 4H and is the Pygmy/Meat Goat and Sheep leader!

Over the last couple of weeks, she’s been very busy helping 4Her’s get ready for the Calaveras County Fair. She started the first of May, working with the kids to get the goats and sheep sheared. She worked with the Pygmy goat kids so they were ready for their show a week ahead of the fair. She then finished up with the sheep, helped her husband, who is also a 4H Leader, with an end of the year dinner meeting for his Auto/Welding group, got her family ready to “campout” during the fair, purchased groceries for our annual club dinner during the fair, organized meals for the group and on Sunday morning of the fair, organized breakfast for all the kids before the auction!!! Wow!!! She has done this for several years now and we wanted to take the time to acknowledge her contributions to the kids of our club and their families!!! Stacy cares a great deal about all the kids and it shows when they make it a point to let her know how their chicken did or their steer, etc. Stacy works hard for all of us and is truly a “Goodie!”

Last week was tough when I stepped on the scale and didn’t lose any weight. Several people told me I would plateau and that I would have to work a little harder to lose weight. Some said it was probably muscle, because muscle weighs more than fat and that could be why I didn’t lose. No matter the reason, I’m still determined to make it to my goal of losing 70 pounds by my 45th birthday on June 25th. Join us Friday morning at 7:20 to see if I worked hard enough this week to be a loser once again.

UPDATE: I’m a LOSER! I lost 3 lbs this week! Total weight loss in 21 weeks, 68 pounds. Today I weigh 253lbs. Kinda freaking me out a little. Thanks for all the support friends!

Congratulations to this week’s KKBN Goodie Award Winner: Cindy Pitti. Here’s the nomination letter

I would like to nominate Cindy Pitti to receive the KKBN Goodie Award. Cindy is my mother’s full time care giver and simply stated “an angel”. My mother is severly disabled from the affects of 40 years of multiple sclerosis. Four years ago Cindy came into my parents lives to care for my mothers daily needs. When you think about a persons every “daily need” that is a powerful statement. Cindy arrives every morning with a cheerful “good morning” and starts right in with the breakfast, the getting ready for the day, dressing, hair, perfume, earrings and so on… think about it. Everything a person needs in a day. Caring for someone else takes a special kind of person. Cindy glides through this routine with true grace and all the while allowing my mother to maintain her dignity. She is so much more than a care giver. She is a priceless part of our family. I hope she knows how wonderful she is. One thing I have learned is that you can never tell someone how much you love them or appreciate them enough. That is why I am nominating Cindy for this award. She is truly deserving.
