IT’S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN (8p ET, ABC) — In this holiday favorite, Linus waits in the pumpkin patch for the elusive Halloween symbol to appear. A bonus cartoon, You’re Not Elected, Charlie Brown, follows.  This is on TONIGHT!!

I must admit, this movie made me give rocks to some trick or treaters a few years back.  Not all but some older kids and young adults that come knocking on the door saying “Trick or Treat are out for a mischievous good time!  How do I know this?  Because I was one of those kids!   They get away with a lot of the younger kids candy and then run off and TP you or your neighbors yard.    Let’s remember who trick or treating  is for this year.   The young kids who still believe in magic and scary things under the bed.  Of course Halloween is for everybody, but as we get older we all find different ways to celebrate with parties, haunted houses and bobbing for whatever you like to bob for.  So leave the trick or treating for candy to the little ones this year and tonight enjoy IT’S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN as a family.   As for Me?  I’ll be at Wal-Mart buying toilet paper.
